Transfer animation from one bone to its children. Perfect for removing animation from rig roots. This addon will delete the animation from the active bone, and transfer it onto all selected bones (See gif)


Easy installation

Change the extension to .py if it got converted to .txt during download. Open preferences in Blender 2.8, under addons, click Install and locate the file. Check the checkbox and save preferences so the tool is always there for you :)


How to use

Automatic way: Select all the bones to which you want to transfer the animation, and then the bone from which you want to transfer the animation. Press F3 and search for "Bone Anim Transfer". Done! :)

Manual way: Select the Bone from which you want to grab the animation. Press F3 and search for "Bone Anim Transfer". The addon will create an Empty with the animation data. You can use it to manually connect things to it. Remember to rename the empty.


note: The addon automatically detects your first and last frame of animation!

note 2: If your root has Linear Extrapolation, please make sure the keyframes are OUTSIDE the baking range, otherwise some bugs can appear!
